“Lio and I met through one of my best friends, Erika Medrano. I was working at a restaurant and she started working there not long after. At the time she was dating Lio’s brother, Eder. Erika and I would hang out and Lio would be there occasionally. Soon after a couple of times being around each other, Lio and build a friendship which led to us dating. We loved being around each other. He had a sense of humor which I loved.

We both loved adventures and travel as much as we can, which is a big plus for the both of us and we had been dating for a little over two years before he proposed! We had a trip planed to Colorado in December, which I thought he might propose. I was wrong! He had a feeling I would know he would try to propose in Colorado, so he surprised me on Thanksgiving Day.

We were surrounded by friends and family, laughing and joking around when I turned around and he was on one knee proposing. I was shocked and excited. And of course I said yes!” –Alex

About The Wedding Day

With a color palate of navy and burgundy and roses in abundance, Alex and Lio’s day at Sendera Springs was beautiful. Even in the midst of an unpredictable summer, their friends and family joined them for a true celebration of their love!

Their day began with a traditional Catholic Mass with their closest family. Alex’s cathedral length train was the most beautiful accent to the church decor. Complete with traditions such as exchanging of the arras, a lasso rosary placed around their shoulders, and honoring Mary with flowers, it was a perfect way to sanctify their new marriage.

The reception at Sendera Springs was full of dancing, good food, music and drinks! It was the perfect recipe for a good time. Alex and Lio’s friends and family showered them with kind words and celebrated with a family shot! It was truly amazing to see such love and fun during the evening. And, lets not forget the gorgeous photos Alex and Lio took together as husband and wife!
